Accessible publishing for composers and arrangers.
Block T Music is a small publishing house based in Houston, Texas that is geared toward providing simple and accessible publishing options for composers and arrangers who don’t want the hassle of navigating the world of self-publishing. We specialize in music for small instrumental ensembles, concert band, and orchestra.
How We Got Started
Block T was founded in November 2021 by trombonist and arranger Noel Freeman, who experienced the challenges of self-publishing firsthand, particularly the expense and effort of doing it right. Through that learning process, Noel believed it was only right to contribute to the broader musical community by using his efforts to make publishing available to composers and arrangers who want to promote and sell their work without incurring all the costs and effort required to make both digital and print music available to the public.
What We Do for Customers
We sell music you are going to love! Our sheet music is available in both digital and printed formats. Digital music is available for immediate download so you can have your music ready to play in just minutes. Printed music sets with standard scores are produced using 80# acid-free, archival-quality paper in a natural tone for music that will look beautiful on your music stand and withstand the test of time. Large format scores are tabloid size and produced on 70# acid-free, archival quality white paper with spiral coil binding and 24-point backing.
What We Do for Artists
We make artists’ work available for sale to the public in digital and paper formats here on our site and market their work for sale through larger music distributors and platforms such as J.W. Pepper, Sheet Music Plus, Sheet Music Direct, and others. We also work to place music for sale with a variety of retailers across the country, including production of physical inventory for retailer stock. We can assist artists in the preparation of their work for sale, such as typesetting and digital file setup, and handle the production, sale, and shipping of print music if artists prefer to handle digital sales on their own.
